As a native of the Ukraine and now an American citizen living in Athens, Ohio, Olena Sowers has participated competitively in the countries of her native Ukraine, as well as Canada, China, Brazil, The Dominican Republic, and her new country of the USA, since age 8. Her worldwide experience has been invaluable as this future Olympian hopeful has definite plans and is going places. Olena, a typical 14 year old. She spends time with her friends, travels across America, and is very comfortable in a competitive environment.
