Favorite Supplements

Beverly Super pack multi-vitamin
Whey and egg protein

Diet
When preparing for a contest, Chad cuts weight by drinking lots of water, eating a lot of oatmeal, fruits and vegetables.  He consumes about 30% protein during this time.  That's the agony of it all.  When Chad is not dieting to make weight, he eats everything that looks good to him, but his favorite foods are chocolate chip cookies, pizza, Natural Light, and margaritas.

Workout
Chad weight trains 3 days a week in the evenings.  His team practices armwrestling one day a week until they give out.  He trains for explosive power and speed using unorthodox exercises.  Chad changes his workout constantly to avoid complacency.  It takes 100% dedication to change up and keep the workouts dynamic.  Chad has devoted himself to it for 17 years.

Family
Chad has been married to his wife, Mia, for 11 years.  She is an elementary school guidance counselor.  Although Mia and Chad haven't had children yet, they have been great parents to two smelly, wrinkled, English bulldogs.  Chad has such a tremendous support system that he feels he is the luckiest guy on Earth.  Chad's mom, Sherry Hoffmann, and his dad, Allen Silvers, have paved the way for him to grow and become a successful armwrestler and well rounded man.

Employment
Chad is employed at the S.C. Department of Juvenile Justice and works as a transportation coordinator for the agency.  He has worked with DJJ for 8 years and was chosen as the officer of the year in 2003.
