CHRISTIAN BINNIE
A professional armwrestler since only 1995, Christian Binnie has still had plenty of time to persevere through injuries that one may think would end the career of an armwrestler. While at the American Armsport Association (AAA) National Championships in 1997, Binnie suffered a broken left arm. As a left-handed armwrestler, this injury would keep him from competing professionally until 2001, when he returned to the armwrestling scene to take 2nd place at the AAA National Championships in the super-heavyweight, left-handed division.

Christian Binnie would continue to be a major contender as a super-heavyweight in 2002 and into early 2003 as he won four 1st place titles at national armwrestling events. However, he completely tore his right bicep muscle in March 2003. As severe as this injury might sound, Binnie was able to return to professional armwrestling later that same year and took 1st place in the Masters Unified National Championships, along with several other 2nd place finishes. Binnie has since been a top contender in the super-heavyweight division as he took 1st place in the 2004 World Wristwrestling Championships. He recently took 3rd place in the Las Vegas Armwrestling Tournament, which was a nationally broadcast event on Fox Sports Net.

The secret to being a three-time national champion – Binnie has been weight training for over 25 years. He weight trains five days per week, and practices armwrestling at least once or twice per week. The left-handed puller trains his left arm every day of the week; twice per day on Mondays and Thursdays. When asked about his diet, Binnie responded, “None – I pull super-heavyweight.”
Aside from his armwrestling career, Binnie is the Director of Security for a company that owns ten restaurants and clubs in New York and Connecticut. He is also a licensed massage therapist. He is currently starring in a commercial for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). At home, Binnie is a devoted husband and father. Christian has a 13-year-old son who looks to fill his father's footsteps in the world of professional armwrestling.
